This map may have originally been printed about 200 years ago. There is an abstract on the back of the frame which describes the areas pictured in relation to the Indians then occupying the lands. Map shows roads, settlements, areas of Native American habitation, and military outposts in the southeastern portion of the North American continent, and was created by Emanuel Bowen

Jeans supervisors were funded by the philanthropist Anna Jeans to raise the level of educational opportunities in the South.
